Applied Computing

Specialist Professional Graduate Study Programme of Applied Computing at the University Department of Professional Studies of the University of Split lasts 2 years (120 ECTS credits) and upon its completion, students acquire the title: Professional Specialist in Computing (struč. spec. ing. comp.).

The aim of the programme is to provide additional specialized knowledge and skills for job renewal in accordance with the advancements in the industry. The design of the study programme was based both on the previous experience in the educational process and the needs of students who have completed professional studies and wanted to continue their education.

During the course of the study, students are introduced to different areas of computing such as web and mobile technologies, software engineering, database management, as well as a number of current and interesting courses such as artificial intelligence, cryptocurrencies or agile software development methods.

Many courses are hosted by external lecturers with many years of professional experience who introduce students to the challenges they face in a demanding IT business environment. In addition to theoretical classes and laboratory practices held in modern classrooms, students are required to work on individual and group projects, which further develops their specialist knowledge and skills.

Specialist Professional Graduate Study Programme of Applied Computing enables students to become part of a successful community of IT experts. The acquired knowledge and skills allow graduates to perform complex tasks and provide the opportunity to get immediately involved in the work process.
